HiyaHiya 9″ Circular Design Contest!

Show the knitting world your creative spirit by participating in the HiyaHiya 9” Design Contest.

Utilizing your 9” HiyaHiya needles let your imagination go wild by designing a small project using 100grams/3.5 oz of yarn or less and your HiyaHiya 9” circular needles.

Dates: Contest begins January 1 and ends April 1, 2010

Requirements:

You pattern must be your own original design and your project must be completed with 100grams/3.5oz of yarn or less. Submissions should be sent to The KnittingZone, 487 Cabbage Patch Road, Laceys Spring, AL 35754 On or before April 1, 2010. Submissions must include your name, address and email address, your completed project, pattern, and a picture of you together with your HiyaHiya needles and project. We will ask you to email a copy of your pattern to us in word or equivalent format. Winners grant permission for your pattern to be published as a free gift in HiyaHiya needle packages. (All projects will be returned to the designer) In the event of a tie, The KnittingZone Inc will cast the final votes.

We all had such a blast last year that I’m going to do things a little different! We are going to make Flock to Sock a year long event!

For Flock to Sock this year you will sign up for 6 bi-monthly shipments starting in March. You will be billed via paypal one month before the shipment (for example you’ll pay in February, get fiber in March and pay again in April)
For your welcome package you will also receive a handmade WIP bag! These bags are perfect for keeping your handspun sock projects safe will knitting! You will also receive a pattern with guidelines for spinning handspun sock yarn and knitting the sock.
Each shipment will contain 4 oz of fiber rotating between Superwash Merino, Superwash Merino and Nylon, Merino/Tencel, Merino/Bamboo and Superwash BFL. There is an option for a double scoop to get 8 oz of fiber.
Every shipment includes a limited edition colorway for club member only (we do not release our colorways outside the club!) shipping, and various spinning and sock goodies.
